Overheard Telephone Conversation

This is what I heard from the office while Kaden was talking on Marin's play phone:

JB: "Hi Bud!"

Kaden: "Hi Jimmy Buffet."

JB: "I never seen you before."

Kaden: "Well, I listen to you on my daddy's iPod."

So funny. And, yes, Kaden had both sides of the conversation. I was cracking up! I So wish Jason could have been here to hear it. Kaden loves Cheeseburger in Paradise and, like I said here, listening to daddy's iPod is a favorite activity in the evenings around here.

Spiky Hair

The object on exhibit is Marin's spiky hair. However, as an added bonus, you'll be getting a few totally sweet pictures as well.

It all happened as an accident really. One night in loo of a bath, I simply put lotion in Marin's hair and combed it (I won't mention what I was trying to comb out of that mop, but, you can safely assume it was something she had for dinner).

The result was roll-on-the-floor hysterical! The bad part: I was the only one home to see it. So, I took pictures! Now you can laugh too!

Oh, and check OUT those teeth! She's cutting #7 and #8 and I can see bumps for SEVERAL others.

Labor Day Getaway

We enjoyed a Fun-tastic weekend in St. Louis last weekend with extended family on my mom's side. While the weather wasn't much to brag about, getting to spend time with family, stay in a GREAT hotel, and just have a break from the everyday routine was wonderful. Kaden adores his cousins, my cousins and his great aunts and uncles. He practically floated through the weekend. Swimming, eating out, sleeping with gramie, playing in the gym, more swimming... what's not to love, right? Monday night when I went into his room to kiss him good-night, he told me, "I'm a little sad." When I asked why his response was, "We didn't get to stay in St. Louis very long." (These pictures are in no apparent order...for some reason I'm not able to move them around as I typically can.)
